Map and Biodiversity in the Leuser Ecosystem
TNGL and surrounding areas are referred to as the Leuser Ecosystem Area (KEL) is the habitat of the Sumatran elephant (Elephas maximus sumatranus), Sumatran tiger (Panthera tigris sumatrae), Sumatran rhinoceros (Dicerorhinus sumatrensis), Sumatran orangutan (Pongo abelii), gibbon (Hylobates syndactylus syndactylus), gibbon (Hylobates lar), Kedih (Presbytis thomasi). Currently the Center TNGL management focuses on four flagship species.
